Damoiseau XO
The surprise here is how light this XO drinks for its name — several tasters expected more punch and got a soft, grassy agricole instead. Expect hay and green cane up front, then oak, vanilla and dried fruit from the bourbon casks, with a peppery, dry finish that fades fast. Pleasant and floral, but the nose tends to promise more than the palate gives.

Light, grassy agricole with soft oak and vanilla Well-liked as an easy, woody agricole with vanilla and dried fruit, though many find it too light and short-finished for something labeled XO.

not sweet, rather floral and woody. Not mainstream.
Review by MarcT
1. Impression: hay and grassy notes, then some wood and a bit later fruit. The fruit and other aromas are quite shy, while the alcohol arrives a bit strong. 2. Tasting: same as before, a bit more Caramel to the nose and the palate. All in all quite enjoyable.

A very agricultural nose, as we like it: buttery cane, vegetal, banana and citrus. Consistent on the palate, sweet as can be with a hint of caramel on top. A very pleasant xo.
Review by Sophie
A pleasant rum with woody notes, despite a high alcohol content. Spicy finish (pepper, nutmeg), unfortunately very short.

Relaxed, balanced agricole. The typical green tones are quite gentle. Highly recommended for beginners who want to try Agricole

Long finish with toasty vanilla flavors. Some chocolate on the nose, vanilla again on the palate, dried fruit. The smell, however, promises more than it gives in taste. Since I like the aged Agricole from Martinique better.
Review by Tupiaz
It needs to get some air and time before drinking so it can open up. Even though the taste is still not very deep. The taste is pleasent and round. It reminds me of a meadow and grassy taste. A few spices at the end. For me it does to little especially considering the price. I'm probably not the target audience.

The first impression here is rather average. There is a lot of wood on the nose and palate, and you can also detect some vanilla and caramel. A very roasty rum, solid but nothing special.

It's really weak for an XO, At the moment, I can't appreciate Le moindre Damoiseau...

#4209 This is a very mild release and I'd have loved a higher ABV. Fruity and fresh with a lightly dry palate. There is a nice floral touch to the profile. The empty glass has some mint and light smoke. Price to quality is pretty good.

This is a smooth agricole which has delightful cognac notes that comes from the casks its place within . Dried fruit and burnt charcoal , that lovely oak taste on it .

A nice rum but not cheap enough to be interesting as a daily dram
