Don't expect anything rum-like here. This Indonesian arrack drinks closer to mezcal, cachaça and agricole all at once — smoky, dry, grassy, with fresh sugarcane, anise, coriander and a salty-earthy edge. One taster called it "similar to Rhum agricole, but with a different twist." Neat it can be hot and demanding; where it really wakes up is in a Mai Tai, an arrackiri or even cola.

Alle Bewertungen sind meine persönliche, unbezahlte Meinung. bester weißer Batavia Arrack 🤙🏼 unbedingt im arrackiri und diversen arrack basierten Drinks probieren, aber alleine pur geht das Ding schon ab wie gleichzeitig mezcal, cachaca und Rhum Agricole!💥🙌 Da zeigt er richtig was er kann.

#5232 12.04.2025 running some samples at home while listening to some Goa Psy Trance. Nose Fresh, light, faint sake, fruits, light anise, faint grass, light earthy. Palate Oily, light floral, faint sake, light salt, orange, light citrus, faint tobacco, light grass. Finish Medium long, fresh, oily, fruits, light orange, light grass, light mineral. Empty glass Floral, fruits, light tea, faint licorice, faint coffee. There was a touch of Vodka and Sake in the profile, which was very interesting.

Erstes Arrak Tasting von Artur, danke an Zabo, dass du mir die überlassen hast:) Jetzt kommen so langsam die besseren. Gut als Arrak erkennbar, auch Zuckerrohr lässt sich gut erkennen, ist allerdings sehr brennend am Gaumen.

Nachtrag von dem ersten Arrak sample Set von TheDunderHut. Leider ist das Niveau immer noch nicht wirklich hoch, das mich hier einer wirklich aus den Socken haut, aber wie immer freue ich mich solche alten und rare Sachen probiert zu haben.

Quite its own flavor. Personally, it reminds me strangely slightly of tequila. Otherwise, very full-bodied.

Intressanta dofter av arrak, kanderad frukt, gräs. Mycket komplexa smaker, gräs, alkohol, kryddor, ek och friska jordiga toner. Eftersmaken är lång och frisk.

Completely gaga what is going on here. Bacon, smoke, lime, fresh sugar cane, lime, spices, fruits...the stuff just smells like the belly of a pirate ship that has just plundered a trading port. Delightfully wacky. Same game then in the mouth, and very dry. Something of mezcal, fruit brandy, smoked bacon, citrus, coriander, a touch of raki, every sip something new. A bit tiring neat - but with acidity and sweetness an absolute firework. Half/half with rum in Mai Tai, as Daiquiri and even simply with Coke. Wild night for advanced.
