Another wonderful surprise. Very fruity with vanilla and some earthiness to it. I like the oilyness and nuts about this one.

I love it! A real journey into real agriculture! A nose of spices and stewed fruit mixed with the smell of the barrel, and what a beautiful barrel it is! On the palate, it's also very good, with the oak barrel but very well balanced with the taste of fruit on a spicy background. In short, a very good rum from HSE!

Promosso!!

Single Cask 2003-2015 at 47.8%. This rum was distilled in 2003 and aged for 12 years in Martinique in a single 400L French oak barrel. On the nose, it's immediately clear why the cellar master decided to make this a Single Cask. Cocoa appears first, followed by ripe banana and Mamy's compote. Enjoying this masterful nose, we catch a glimpse of basic empyreumatic notes (coffee and tobacco). On the palate, it's less gourmand but complex. Drier, with notes of coffee and tobacco. Personally, I prefer the nose to the mouth on this Single Cask.
