Neisson Le Rhum Par Neisson
One taster called this the "quintessence du ti-punch," and that's where most people land. It's a Martinique agricole blanc at 52.5%: fresh sugarcane, lime, grass and pepper, with an oily, almost creamy roundness that softens the strength. A few catch earthy beet-and-carrot notes on the nose that not everyone loves, but the palate wins them over. Great in a ti-punch, and confident enough neat.

Bought this Rhum Neisson Blanc from Catawiki a few months ago. The distillery is owned by the Neisson family since its foundation in 1932. They uses fresh sugar cane juice from locally grown cane. After a quite long fermentation it’s distilled in a French Savalle column still installed 1938. Overall a great Agricole Blanc that’s very good neat, but a little weak in a Ti Punch.

One of the best premium white rums. Floral, earthy and herbaceous notes make this rum a nugget, with a touch of pepper and lime. A rum that is both dry and very fresh, very pleasant in the mouth and with a nice finish. An excellent value for money.

A great Agricole here from Neisson. The nose is truly outstanding, fresh, vegetal, grassy, and floral. Lemon can be detected here. Also vegetal and floral on the palate, with sugar cane and lemon noticeable.

On the nose I smell typical agricole, a little citrus and something bitter. To be honest, I don't really like the smell. Fortunately, the taste is very good for me. Classic agricole, but so strangely almost creamy mellowed. A very fine piece.

15.11.2019 Having a great tasting event at this old hotel meeting new people. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, sugarcane, citrus, faint leather, light chocolate, grass, light varnish, faint floral. Palate Oily, intense, warm, vegetal, faint polish, light floral, grass, citrus, light mineral. Finish Medium to long, oily, warm, citrus, grass, light mineral. Extra note Needs to rest for a good while to really open up.

On the nose, the subtle vegetable aromas of beet and carrot juice alongside the fruity-fresh plantiness still make me frown slightly, but fortunately the whole thing turns into a rather spicy affair in the mouth. The earthy root vegetable components are still present, but everything is harmoniously balanced. A beautiful, unaged agricole that is great fun not only in cocktails but also on its own!

Surprisingly restrained nose with classic Agricole notes. Not very green, some yellow fruit like mirabelle. Overall more mature and less fresh. In the mouth the most rounded Agricole I've encountered, but also comparatively low in alcohol. In the Ti Punch, even with little sugar you feel like you're drinking sugar cane juice, with a little more syrup it quickly tastes like candy cane. Very round, but a bit too restrained.

This white is rich, well-balanced and very powerful. We come straight to a cane bursting with sugar ( Confit / Cola without bubbles / Cooked sugar ) which brings us fresh citrus notes ( Lemon / Lime / Orange zest ) with some tropical fruit. There's a lovely spicy character ( Pepper / Ginger / Licorice ) as well as a pretty vegetal ( Artichoke / Green / Herb / Earthy ( Mineral ) ). What's most pleasing about this white is its tenderness and opulence on the palate ( Milky / Fat / Oily ). This is a very good rum, very well made with a certain personality, all very well executed.

Un nez à l'alcool très bien intégré sur la canne à sucre grasse. Je trouve la bouche un tout petit peu en dessous. Pure elle ne tient pas tout à fait les promesses du nez. Mais ça reste un très joli blanc agricole. Les 52,5 sont parfaits.

schöner agricole. klassisches aber trockenes zuckerrohraroma, .fruchtige zitrus, etwas olive und grasig ,im mund auch etwas ester, bandage, also etwas iod ist auch present. Insgesamt kräftig trocken. für fortgeschrittene rumfreunde.
