Le Gus‘t DDL Marrons de la Liberté Optimum Proof 2002
Nobody expects a Demerara to taste like a Caroni, but that's exactly the trick here — reviewers nicknamed it the "Demeroni". The nose is all mechanic's-workshop grit: rubber, tar, smoke. Then citrus and tropical fruit push through, more Jamaican than Guyanese, with milk chocolate and spice behind. At 58.8% it hits hard but stays balanced. Barely any classic Demerara until the finish.

How does Le Gus‘t DDL Marrons de la Liberté Optimum Proof 2002 taste?
Aggregated from 16 community reviews.
Dirty, tarry Demerara that drinks like a Caroni A genuine surprise — tasters blind-guessed Caroni and loved being fooled. The gap to a top score is complexity on the palate; a few wanted more depth, none disliked it.

Unbelievably delicious! What is this?! A perfect blend of the best from the Caroni and Diamond and Angostura distilleries? Incredibly awesome what a potpourri of citrus, milk chocolate and burnt rubber, and spices offered here. Extremely horny!!

Demeroni !
