I had this rum in a glass a long time ago and thought it was very good. I still like it today. A super interesting and unusual aroma profile, characterized by wood, honey and fruit sweets with menthol. Astringent on the palate. The finish is long with a very intense fruit flavor of dark berries.

Good nose. Initially good on the tongue, then too much barrel influence in the finish for me, as if there had been a wine finish

Uitvlugt is always one of those things. All of them are great cinema for me, but some are rather exhausting, while others are great fun. This one is predominantly continental, so I'm curious to see if it can still convince. Nose: could also be PM. Delicious and beguiling blend of fruity-lemony freshness and woody-roasty vanilla and spice. Apple and lemon with sweet and sour passion fruit in the foreground. Somehow it also has something of wax, beeswax or honeycomb. Behind it is green plantain. Vanilla and chocolate at the end. 8,6 Palate: wow, intense and delicious. Violet licorice in the foreground (like the pastilles from the pharmacy, I like them). Once that has faded, some aniseed, honey and workshop oil (reminds me of totalan Fiji, I also like it a lot). These then linger well into the finish. A very nice Uit indeed. 8.6

I have had a short break from tasting because I felt like 2-3 days a week with tasting was a bit over the top. Back in shape again and we had a wonderful evening yesterday. A very nice sipper indeed. Lots of nice spices mixed with a bit of fruit. The finish is lightly dry, which fits the profile pretty well.

Un très bon PM. J'ai trouvé le nez plus sympa que la bouche, complexe avec des épices, du fruit et bien entendu, une touche de bois mouillé. L'attaque en bouche est vraiment fruitée mais l'amertume/bois mouillé du fût est un peu forte à la fin pour que ce soit excellent.
