The Antigua Distillery English Harbour Oloroso Sherry Finish (Batch 2)
Here's the surprise: the sherry doesn't take over. It shows up as roasted, nutty warmth over the fruity, spicy, woody Antigua base, with a dry body that starts a little bitter before sweetening up. At 46% and only 5 years, a few tasters call it "relatively bitey," and several note it trails off short. Best known as an easy, no-sugar sipper at a friendly price.

Rounded, nutty sherry sipper, a bit young Well-liked as a rounded, nutty sherry sipper with no added sugar, though its youth shows — several find it a touch harsh and wish it had more complexity and length.

Burning afterwards and that burning lingers a bit
Review by Montana

Nejlepsi v porovnani s madeirou a port. Nejvice vyrazny z techto tri vzorku, coz je velke plus. Vice sladky nez port, coz je minus

The tasted one here is from batch 002. Have also a bottle from batch 001, unopened. I tasted it the first time during my vacation in Antigua down at a restaurant in Falmouth Harbour. Thought that the nose was great, but the nose of the port version is even better. But nevertheless this is a great rum, well worth trying, that’s very complex and has a great finish.

Very round due to the sherry finish. I like it very much!
Review by Tim
The sherry finish is noticeable and fits well. The result is a round, roasty and nutty rum that lacks intensity. Compared to the port finish, I have to classify this rum as somewhat weaker. Nevertheless, a very good value for money rum, like almost everything from English Harbour.
Review by Michael Schillheim
Rums from English Harbour were among my favorites in the beginning. This love has waned somewhat in recent years. But as an easy sipper, the Sherry Cask still works. I still like the woody, spicy and fruity notes, but the bottom line is that I now miss the complexity.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Similar to the other two finishes, it is still relatively biting, which is certainly due to its relatively young age, but overall it does not hurt and is relatively mild and balanced. Sherry does not dominate too much here as I had feared... Overall, the port cask is the most successful of the 3 for me, followed by sherry and then Madeira. Nice range for the price!

u ve vůni je cítit ostrost, 46% a něco jemně voňavého, mozna to jsou ty tresne? chuť na začátku jemná pak hned pichlava, pak to přestane a rozvinou se různé chutě

Well I found this Oloroso Sherry Cask more matured than its Port Cask twin. On nose, it is very promissing, than it looses complexity and drive on palate with a little harsh and bland finish due to its lower age of 5 years. I liked the 46% ABV. Anyway, its price tag is very friendly and it is not a bad rum at all.

The smell is notable but soft, you can distinguish sherry and oak, very nice. The taste is soar with strong sherry, even though there is a with nice soft dry ending. I expected this rum to be much more better. Well, let´s continue EH, you are doing great.
