Caramel, toffee and a little candied fruit on the nose, then a round, gentle palate with light smoke and tobacco. This Peruvian column-still rum from Rum Nation is a mellow, low-key sipper — a touch of honey and a raisin note lingering at the end. Easy-going, but a few tasters found it too light and short on real character.
