Odevie SAS Signature Island Turquoise Bay Amber Rum
Anyone easing into rum or wanting an ultra-soft, sweet pour will get on with this Mauritian amber. Vanilla, caramel and a little banana lead, with wood tucked well behind the sugar. One taster called it "light as a feather" — pleasant and mild, but short on depth. A few noticed it tastes sweetened. Works nicely in a daiquiri or cola.

#5786 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This one is also seet but has a more floral note. Wood is well hidden in the sweet notes where there is also some vanilla, caramel and some honey.

First taste: Very pleasant rum, sweet but nicely balanced as it is not over the top. It reminds me of patridom 12YO for its taste. 👅 offers tones of vanilla, milk chocolate, refined sugar, nougat and caramel with hints of oak and spiciness of a pepper. I can also sense cinnamon and a little bit of bitterness at the back of the tongue as a part of finish which reminds me of burnt sugar. Nose is similar but a bit milder and not as prominent as taste with hints of spiciness and a little alcoholic whif. Great sweet rum in my opinion. After almost whole bottle I have to add some points. This one is simply amazing it's smooth, chocolate, vanilla. Ot is sweet but very nicely balanced. Once I run out I am getting another bottle.

A solid mixing rum with a fun amount of spice to it. Not interesting enough (or my taste) for sipping, but adds a lot to a cocktail.

Sehr angenehm. Leicht süß aber nicht wie Riise.

Turquoise Bay from Mauritius attracted me with a level of delicacy unknown to me so far. The blend of aged molasses and unaged cane juice rums is simply incredibly velvety, I would say even to a certain level of transparency. The scent is not very expressive, slightly vanilla and caramel, the taste is very similar with an exceptionally mild finish. In the category of light rums, this one is light as a feather. Too light to find anything interesting here, but nevertheless I can see its use in treating people who react badly to strong alcohol. It also worked great in daiquiri.

Beginner rum for newcomers. Here, too, was re-sugared. Unfortunately, does not have much to offer.
