T.D.L Plantation Trinidad 2003
Vanilla, butterscotch and raisin lead here, with coconut and a whisper of Trinidad oak underneath. It's a 2003 T.D.L column-still rum aged 12 years, but the story most tasters tell is sweetness — one calls it "almost undrinkable, this is soooooo sweet," and a couple say it reads watered-down at 42%. Others find it easy and fair value, especially newer drinkers.

Sweet, soft vanilla-oak Trinidad sipper Split verdict. Some enjoy the soft vanilla-oak profile and price; others say the sugar buries Trinidad's character and the palate tastes thin and cloying.

Good value for money !

Beautiful matte for a bottle under 100e. Although alcohol can be felt, but very drinkable. I recommend it even to beginners for discovering new flavours. Mata from TDL is an unmistakable taste that you will never get tired of.

Oak, vanilla and arrak on the nose and some sweetness from tropical fruits. Taste is not as sweet as hinted by the nose but rather a burnt or roasted oak flavour. I think I sense some peppery tones along with some dried fruits. The finish is woody with a faint touch of leather, spice and tobacco.

Nothing exciting too much watered down. But there are worse and worse.

A very poor representation of Trinidad . The nosing is quite gasoline like and very sweet Tasting is just of cloyed sugar that is definitely additives . Poor showing
