The nose has a punch of red fruits, followed by sugarcane and subtle hay notes. Smashed walnuts appear after a few sips. The palate becomes more distinctly a mix of raspberry and strawberry than a generic red fruit and this is joined by soft toffees and the hay from the nose. The finish is something that clings on all night. At first the raspberry and strawberry from the palate become a generic red fruit again and this is joined by a sweet, pepperyness. Overall a great rum. One I bought on a trip to maderia. As I write this I'm on my last days there. Sad times. But this is making it easier.
