This unaged German pot-still pours pure jelly-banana on the nose, then swerves into something cooling: menthol, peppermint, a note more than one member compares to an ice sweet. Oily on the palate, and at 58.5% the alcohol stays surprisingly well tucked in. A genuine curiosity.

What did Werner come up with there?! Amazing! I feel like I’ve been transported back years, to 2017, when I first tasted the white Savanna Herr. Back then, it was an incredible, uniquely flavorful rum for me! When I got to try the raw version of the Banana with a much higher ABV a few months ago at Rum Depot with Werner and Dirk, I immediately loved it. I’m all about aromas! This one brings a completely new aroma spectrum to the rum world that I never thought possible. At first, you get overripe, intense banana notes, like Haribo bananas on the palate. Then the aroma suddenly shifts toward menthol and peppermint, clearly like Ice Bonbons. It finishes long on the palate with wonderfully integrated alcohol. Please make more of this! Thanks so much for this aroma bomb!

#7255 29.08.2026 Tasted at the German Rum Festival 2026. Well this is all about banana with some banana and then banana on top. A successful experiment in my mind and I think most can actually enjoy it. My quick notes from tasting. Banana, spice, warm, oily, sweet, floral.

Absolute Granate! Nach dem Öffnen der Flasche füllt sich der Raum direkt mit Banane. Hier ist der Name Programm. Geleebanane trifft Menthol in der Nase. Absolut einzigartig. Im Mund ist die Banane weniger intensiv, aber vorhanden. Es dominiert ein kühlender Frischekick wie bei einem Eisbonbon. Diese Abfüllung macht richtig Spaß. Super gemacht Werner 👌
