Tasted this rum, the 2nd release from Stobirk, at the Sweden Rum Fest 2026 during a masterclass held by Romrobban and Ruminterest. The 1st release named Origin was a unaged rum and this one is the same rum that has made a short touchdown in a barrel made from Swedish oak. The coming releases of the Krutbruket Series will also be the same rum with longer periods of aging. The distillery is very new and has installed Europes largest double retort pot still (6000 liters). The rum is fresh, fruity, spicy and woody with scents and flavors of citrus, vanilla, peppers and oak. The finish is medium long.
