I asked Kenny how it crossed his mind to buy from Don P. He said ‘it’s easy, just buy a barrel and tell them to stay away from it.’ Cask strength rum from a single cask at €69 doesn’t appear every day, it was surely worth a try.

When I opened the bottle, I was almost startled by how sweet the aroma is, almost like Don Papa. I can't help it, but the taste is pleasantly sweeter and softer, with distinct cherries in chocolate, and in the end, a nice oak barrel shows up. Nothing wild for an all-evening sip.
