There are definitely similarities to the Bonne Mère 1. Very fruity with peach, young wood, and vegetal aromas on the nose. But with this Bonne Mère, the palate is dominated by the peach-mint aroma that is actually typical for TDL.

Du nez à la bouche, trop sur le vin doux à mon gout. Vu la bouche collante, il devait y avoir un bon reste dans le fut (ou alors le finish a ete bien trop long). Je prefere largement le batch 1 et regrette mon achat pour celui ci.

Wine aroma with notes of spices, iodine and sour currants sweet red fruits. 👅. In taste wine sour fruit spices wood, iodine slightly warms up after aeration disappears.

Vagabond Spirits gives us a nice surprise with this rum from Guadeloupe. The nose is very fragrant, with refreshing floral notes, sweet aromas of sugarcane, gentle spices (vanilla), and young but well-integrated wood in the profile. However, it’s the peach notes that make the difference (and steal the show) on the nose. A young and invigorating profile. The melody continues on the palate with this lush thread of peach and menthol. The fruits and sugarcane bring something sweet to the mouth, while the spices and light wood add elegance and roundness. The flavors are very balanced and harmonious, with perfectly integrated alcohol. The finish is long, a bit drier, vegetal, spicy (pepper), woody, and slightly roasted, but still partly retains the menthol and peach. The port cask finishing notes stand out a bit more. A very good surprise with a great value for money, top-notch for Guadeloupe which often suffers from very high prices on its releases.

I have to come back on my review of the batch 1, I think I became addicted to this new hyper fruity profile from DBM. And oh boy What a fruit explosion 💥 Apricot , Peach, alcohol does not burn, I'm in love again ☺️ And for the price 🤪 Best bang for the bucks of 2026
