Straight outta Singapore. Ungewöhnlich "orangig" für einen 2003er TDL. Die Minze sowie Menthol sind da aber lang nicht so Dominant wie man es gewohnt ist. Dafür umso mehr Zitrus Orangen Noten, Schale und Saft von Bitterorangen, Nabelorangen und Kumquats. Erinnert auch ein bisschen an spanischen Orange Wine. Dazu etwas Grüner Tee und leicht gerösteter Kaffee, sowie grüner Pfeffer, viel Eichenholz und leicht erdige Noten. Der Alkohol könnte echt besser integriert sein, sonst wäre die Bewertung vermutlich höher... Danke an adrianv und AlexK für's organisieren!

Thanks to AdrianV für diesen Rum. Ein T.D.L der nix besonderes ist, aber trotzdem lecker. Klar überwiegen hier die typischen T.D.L-Marker, Minze, Eukalyptus und Menthol. Am Gaumen zusätzlich noch etwas Kaffee.

The nose provides a nice "uuhhhh shiiitt". Familiar notes of herbs, spices, and yellow fruits combined with an interesting "orange" twist. On the palate, it's similar but more down to earth. The different notes of herbs, spices, and yellow fruits with that "orange" twist are still present and work well together, being quite complex and varied. Still, they're missing a bit of that "wow" factor that the nose promised. The finish is quite long with a herbal kick. For me personally, this is a pretty solid variation from the tried and tested uniformity of other 2003 TDL releases while still lacking the "wow" factor of some of the more common bottlings. Nonetheless, big up goes out to Adrianv for organizing and shipping these samples from around the world and of course Alex for providing the German hub.

This bottle traveled 10+ kms to get here, released exclusively in Singapore. It has Interesting nose, orange peel, spice, roasted caffee, herbal notes, however quite flat on palate, dried apples, nuts, caffee but missing complexity and depth, quite sweet and bitter. Alcohol could be integrated better. Nice stuff overall.
