8,1:On the nose, toasted wood with caramel, pastry, roasted nuts, chocolate, leather, some vanilla, dried apricots, raisins and orange peel, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, burnt sugar, baking spices are out, hints of sugarcane, some yellow fruits, as the molasses is thick, sweet with honey hints, flowery, grassy with hay, earthy with tobacco. 8:On the palate, the attack is dirty, dry, slightly bitter with musty molasses, vegetal with mushrooms, flowery, dark with black tea, sweet with honey, roasted wood notes like burnt sugar, butterscotch, dark chocolate, nuts, leather, peppery, fruits like dried apricots, dates, raisins, a bit sour, yellow fruits...American oak ageing is obvious. 7,8:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with toasted wood notes like caramel, chocolate, nuts, coffee, biscuits, leather, baking spices, vanilla, pairing sweet molasses with honey, earthy with tobacco and dried, yellow fruits.
