Sip it after dinner or spoon it over ice cream — that's where this one belongs. The nose is pure chocolate-hazelnut spread: peanut, caramel, nougat, toffee, filling the room instantly. One taster nailed it as "liquid Hanuta." At 38% the sugar makes it soft but also thin, and several members happily admit it has almost nothing to do with rum anymore. What saves it: the nut and cocoa read natural, not artificial.

Verkostet auf der Village'26 bei Nina. Vorab, ich steh nicht auf spiced Rums, aber dieser mit den natürlichen Flavours ist echt gut gemacht. Mir zu süß, aber kann mir den gut auf der Tiramisu, Eis oder im Kaffee vorstellen. Schmeckt definitiv nicht künstlich wie so manch andere.

Na gut, habe mich mal breit schlagen lassen, einen extremen Desert-Rum zu probieren. Und extrem ist er… süß, flüssiges Hanuta. Immerhin auch extrem offen alles deklariert. Sehr gut liebe Nina. Nase: Hanuta pur. Sehr süß, sehr haselnussig, sehr karamellig. Nougat und Toffee noch, anderes hat da keine Chance durchzukommen. Intensiv, erfüllt sofort den ganzen Raum. Interessant, hat aber natürlich nichts mehr mit Rum zu tun und soll es auch gar nicht. Dafür gibt’s eine 7,2 Gaumen: unheimlich süß, Zuckersirup, Honig, Karamell, Nougat. Dazu noch die Haselnuss. Der hohe Zuckergehalt macht ihn weich, der geringe Alkoholgehalt aber auch dünn. Kommt Helsinki nicht an die Nase heran und ist mir viel zu süß. Für Süßrumgenießer aber bestimmt sehr interessant. 6,2

Für einen gespiceden Rum, handwerklichen gut gemacht. Deutliche Süße von Karamell und angenehmer Erdnussnote. Im Abgang nehme ich eine schöne Würze, des ursprünglichen Grundproduktes war. Mir persönlich ist er zu süß.

Für einen spiced Rum wirklich gut: deutliche Süße, leckere Erdnussaromen (wie Snickers), aber nicht künstlich, trotzdem im Hintergrund eine erkennbare Würze. Wer sowas mag: zuschlagen!
