Nose has some warmth, baking spice, and cask driven notes. Palette is moderately sour, with some dried fruit notes and woody and warm undertones. The finish remains relatively sour, indexing towards the fruity side with some bitter coffee notes.

This has a lot more of the traditional cane juice notes that weren't there on the Ghana. Cinnamon, creme brulee, green apple. I think part of why I don't care for a lot of the cane juice rums is they just finish super dry and acidic almost. No sweetness that goes for days. It's a very nice rum, and the bartenders favorite of the last Flag releases, but just not for me.
Review by Solidfunk
Smells mostly of caramel, oak and dates. A little toasted coconut. Pours dark golden. Fairly rich dose of vanilla. Mouth feel is pretty diverse. Chocolate and turmeric. Lots of florals, potpourri. A hint of industrial chemical at the end, paint thinner or something, but it's subtle. All around unique and pretty cool flavour. Long finish. Bottle split thanks to xamsx.
