8,7:On the nose, sherry barrel impact is obvious, dried fruits like raisins, apricots, prunes, red, citrus and tropical fruits, fermented, creamy, roasted wood notes like nuts, chocolate, spicy with allspice, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, medicinal notes are stronger, pastry, cocoa arise, spicy anise, molasses is herbaceous, sweet with honey. 8,4:On the palate, the attack is slightly alcoholic, strong with toasted oak notes like chocolate, leather, malty, spicy with allspice, fruity with citrus, tropical and dried fruits, medicinal with rubber, metallic, molasses is earthy with tobacco, herbaceous. 8,6:The finish is rather long, dry&tannic, medicinal, barrel impact is obvious, oak toasted with caramel, chocolate, spicy with allspice, smoky, fruity with all fruits from above, fermented, creamy..

#1799 04-07-2026 - Rate 5.7 Did not have high expectations to this rum and it has a wooden and whisky like nose and taste. And that’s just not for me. This comes across as an average rum for me. Aged 5 years in a sherry cask. Not a big fan of sherry cask maturation, when it’s for such a long time. Think the price is a to high. 1.300.- for a 5 year rum matured in Denmark.

Der war tatsächlich sehr gut, weit besser als der spiced. In der Nase ist er überwiegend fruchtig, bleibt auch fruchtig am Gaumen, wird aber auch leicht würzig und röstig, Leder ist erkennbar. Alkohol gut eingebunden.
