Hampden Plantation Prestige Cellar Jamaica (Exclusive for the UK) 2001

Hampden hunters who want the loud stuff softened by real age — this is your bottle. Nail polish, glue and smoked bacon jump out first, then pineapple, overripe banana and marzipan fill in. At 58.6% it's powerful but drinks easy, with the alcohol well integrated. The finish turns dry and spicy; one taster found it "too sour in the end," most just call it a wild ride worth taking.

April 25, 2026 — tasting at home. An incredible rum. The aroma already reveals a highly technical profile where you can find everything—from glue and bacon to pineapple. A very long, lingering finish. Definitely recommended.

Incredibly good Hampden with amazing fruits like pineapple, peach, and apricot, little acidity, tropical cask influence. Alcohol is super well integrated. Pretty much perfect!
