If you like your Jamaican funk wrapped in orange peel, this Ten Cane / Hampden DOK blend is aimed right at you. Esters, solvent and glue on the nose, then bitter orange, tropical fruit and roasted wood on a slightly thick palate. The DOK brings ripe fruit, the Ten Cane a spicy freshness on the finish. At 62% it runs hot — several members find it excellent without quite hitting "wahoo."

Famille Ricci Unique Blend X-Tasting #5: geiler Blend mit viel Orangenschale. Ist garantiert ein Knaller im Rum Old Fahsioned. Daneben Tropische Früchte, etwas Ester und Lösungsmittel, sowie Holz und Gewürze.

Cuvée découvert lors du Spirits in the Sky où j'ai travaillé pour la Famille Ricci, avis peu objectif :) Nez étonnamment axé sur la canne, les fruits confits, et l'orange. Ce blend Ten Cane et Hampden DOK crée de nouveaux arômes. En bouche, c'est un jus bien cuit, caramélisé, qui fait encore la part belle aux fruits avec de l'orange mais aussi les habituels ananas-mangue jamaicains. Le Ten Cane est finalement assez timide.. Jusqu'à la finale où il nous ramène une fraicheur, et pas mal d'épices. Un bon cru, et une combinaison d'arômes assez unique.

Unique Blend 2025 n°5 – 62 % Assemblage : Ten Cane 2006 + Hampden DOK 2009 La fraîcheur épicée du Ten Cane ouvre la dégustation. En milieu de bouche, le DOK apporte ses fruits mûrs explosifs. Très bel équilibre, même si, comme souvent avec les Ten Cane, c’est excellent mais sans effet « wahooo » pour moi.
