A Vietnamese cane-juice white rum is already unusual, and this one leans soft rather than sharp. Expect sugarcane, a little ginger and green grass, with citrus and a light floral edge. Reviews mention maple syrup on the palate, but also a chalky, faintly bitter dryness and a short finish. #5283 28.04.2024 Running a few samples while watching "Moonshiners". Nose Light, citrus, vegetal, light floral, sugarcane, light grass, spice. Palate Light, diluted, citrus, light grass, floral, spice, sugarcane. Finish Short to medium, citrus, faint smoke, sugarcane, light floral. Empty glass Sugarcane, faint chocolate, berries. Would have loved this one at a higher ABV.

Nose of "green" cane, not the species, the maturity! Slight bitterness. Dry, unexpressive palate. Short, dry finish.

The nose is sweet and citrusy. Some flowery notes follow. Almost like an old school lemon and elderflower sweet. And interested palate, maple syrup but also rather dry. Somewhat chalky, almost the taste of crusted up vitamin pills. Bitter citrus toward the end. The finish is short and bitter. Somewhat green. This is an odd one. The nose is better than the rest of the experience. Quite thin and very bitter overall. Wouldn't try again.
