Takamaka Kreol Cask (Reserve Dark Rum)
Chocolate and cocoa lead here, wrapped in soft sweetness with light spice behind — one taster notes the fruit fades on the palate while the coffee and roasted wood step forward. It's clearly on the sweet side and pretty easy-going at 40%. A few members call the body thin with a short finish, but as an evening dark rum from the Seychelles it delivers a fair bit of chocolate-forward character.

Sweet, chocolate-forward easy dark rum Well-liked as an easygoing evening pour with good value; the catch is a thin body and short finish, and it won't win over anyone chasing complexity.

Drinks: - Pur: 4/5 - Rum Cola: 3.5/5 - Rum Punch: 4/5

During a masterclass by Takamaka, I tasted various rums. This lineup is certainly fine for an evening. I’ve had several at home myself and they are nice as a change of pace. Good rum for a good price.

Shopbesuch Rum Paradise Hamburg Dezember 2025.

#6998 05.07.2026 Time to relax after my wifes birthday guests have left. Listening nto some nice EDM on Spotify at the same time. Price to quality a very good rum in my mind. Well balanced profile with fruits, sweetness, caramel, chocolate, light tobacco and roasted wood.

11/05/2026: Advent calender: Le Monde des Rhums 2025. The nose instantly reminded me of baked, caramalized bananas. Pretty sweet aroma and palate. Very thin on the palate though and the finish is almost non-existent.

Not bad. Definitely on the sweet side and not very complex. But absolutely worth the money.
