Découverte du nouveau New Grove 10 ans qui a été rehaussé de 2° d'alcool, passant de 40 à 42%. Assemblage de rum de mélasse de minimum 10 ans jusqu'à 14 ans d'âge. Le vieillissement s'est fait dans d'ancien fût de Bourbon et de Cognac. L'origine des cannes proviennent des parcelles Beau Plan. 👃 Beaucoup de fruits en corbeille tant tropicaux (mangue, papaye, passion) que du verger (pêche, abricot). De belles épices insulaires, vanille fraîche et feuille de menthe du jardin. Un peu de complexité sur un joli caramel doux aux raisins secs en arrière-plan. Un nez avant tout fruité, léger et frais. 😋 Les mêmes fruits toujours présents, avec même un peu de cerises amères par moment. Petit à petit les fruits frais et mûrs évoluent sur un caramel de sucre de fruits, tel une compotée laissée trop longtemps dans la casserole et virant vers l'état de caramélisation. Les épices ne sont pas en restent (vanille, poivre rose). Mention pour les 2 degrés d'alcool supplémentaires qui donnent davantage de profondeur en bouche que sur l'ancienne version à 40%. ⛳ De longueur moyenne à courte, elle laisse place à des fruits un peu plus acides, sur les agrumes. Légère épices et touche de menthe. 💡 Alors oui cela manque de longueur et d'intensité, mais commercialisé autour des 55-60 euros, ce rebranding du New Grove 10 ans est un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Il est inscrit dans ma liste des 10 meilleurs RQP mélasse, rien que ça. Un must have. Coup de ❤️
