Venezuela almost never shows up as a single-cask bottling, which is half the draw here. At 54.2% it's got some bite up front, then settles into caramel, oak and yellow fruit — banana and a bit of lemon — with coffee on the back. One taster wondered if it was an Islay-style finish; a few just found it middling. Honest, unsugared, and a little different.

#5767 28.09.2025 Day two of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. Not my favourite, but on the other hand Venezuela you don't see very often. Balance is OK and the wood and fruits marry pretty well with caramel and coffee notes.

👃🏼 = Il y a des arômes de fruits jaunes (citron, banane) frais avec un peu de de caramel. 👄 = Au palais, l'attaque est un peu vive suivie par un jus un peu gras, vanillé avec un léger boisé. C'est assez fin, un peu rond. La longueur est normale et poivrée. Un rhum de mélasse non-trafiqué du Venezuela, ça change agréablement pour un résultat correct 😋
