#5707 27.09.2025 Day one of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This was nice surprise and pretty good compared to the regular Chamarel's out there. Nice and fruity with light wood, apricot and some nice herbal notes. in between the sugarcane notes there is a light medicinal note and faint varnish.

Messetasting Whisky Live Paris. Eindrücke und Bewertung basieren auf unmittelbaren Eindrücken aus dem Tastingglas. Ansprechende Tendenz, die Chamarel hier aufzeigt. Das Profil harmoniert gut mit dem Ex-Bourbon-Fass und weist eine angenehme Balance auf zwischen den klassischen Melasserumnoten und dem Agricole-Stil.

HV Chamarel 2017 – 65 % Agréable et fruité, avec une légère note de vernis. Pas mauvais du tout, mais rien de renversant. HV Rainforest 2024 – 62 % Découverte d’une nouvelle distillerie philippine ! Issu de pur jus de canne “manpu”, fermenté longuement (10 à 12 jours) avec ajout de dunder et de muck, distillé en pot still, puis vieilli en fûts de vin blanc (chardonnay). Embouteillé à 62 % et limité à 1 500 bouteilles. Une belle surprise : l’intégration de l’alcool est réussie malgré la jeunesse. Des notes de réglisse et d’olive ressortent, et cela donne envie de voir ce que cette distillerie pourra proposer avec un peu plus de maturité.
