Most tasters land in the same place: this is a proper Hampden ester bomb, heavy on glue, solvent and nail polish with pineapple and banana underneath. One reviewer called the funk "overwhelming fantastic," while a couple felt the ester and acidity ran ahead of the fruit. At 60% and 8 years, the <>H mark shows plenty of oak and spice on the long, drying finish.

Dann zum Tagesabschluss noch einen für hiesige Verhältnisse echt leckeren Rum. Hampden, na klar viel Eater, aber auch tropische Früchte, hier Ananas, sowie Lösungsmittel und Klebstoff. Der tat echt gut :)

Naja ich steigern mich so nach und nach mit dem Mark dieser Cristina de Middel Serie. O.k. Es wird besser, aber je mehr Ester, desto besser schmeckt es mir eh. Wobei ich sagen muss, dass dieser zwar schon gut ist, aber nicht was ist was ich bräuchte.

Velier Christina de Middel Collection: LROK 2016: Ein guter Jamaica-Rum. Etwas kräutig und bitter, sonst typische Jamaica Aromen. 7.5 <>H 2017: Schon besser. Das Mark ist schon sehr gut, wesentlich intensiver und adstringenter, sehr fruchtig, Mr. Funk klopft an der Gaumentür. 8.8 HGML 2018: Sehr geschmeidig, viel würziger, holziger und auch komplexer, als die anderen. Tolles seidiges Mundgefühl. 8.8 DOK 2021: Lecker, schön fruchtiger Antritt, danach zerfällt der Rum aber am Gaumen ins Nichts. DOK und ich werden wieder keine Freunde... 7.1 Vielen Dank für die Samples @Skyfly

Velier Hampden Christina de Middel X-Tasting: In der Nase ist der <>H noch nicht zu spüren; könnten durchaus andere Marks sein. Im Gaumen spürt man die Ester-/Lösungsmittel-/ Klebstoffwucht dann massiv, alles andere im Hintergrund. Kein erstklassiger <>H, aber die Grundmarker passen.

Dieser <>H hat mir zuviel Ester und Säure in Vergältnis zur Frucht. Sonst alle typische Marker da. Holt mich nicht besonders ab. Da ist das Foto auf der Flasche mal wieder eindrucksvoller als der Rum …

Palette: Citrus ananas let cantalope melon. Klassisk let genkendelig LROK profil. Glasset: Kraftig du af ege fad. <> H RX25063: (87 point) Duft: Opløsningsmiddel og vild funk. Palette: Frugtbumpe og overvældende fantastisk funk. Explosion af let syrlig forfriskende frugt, ananas med mere. HGML RX25065: (85 point) Duft: Lak svagt vanilje fad, underbygget af fin let funk. Palette: Bitterfrugt krydret lak Syrlig frugt. Dok RX25067: (85 point) Duft:Tung lækker fin funk. Paletten: Cremet frugtsyre, let bitterhed masser af ananas med mere. Schöne goldene Farbe, leuchtend. In der Nase Frucht und Funk. Banane, Ananas, Kleber. Wirkt recht harmonisch und trink-animierend. Dann schöner Gaumeneindruck, bleibende Fruchtnoten, gut gestützt durch die verstärkenden funkigen Anteile. Später ist der Holzeinfluss zu spüren, das gibt weitere Tiefe. Der recht lange Abgang zuerst auf der Ester-Seite wechselt dann jedoch auch auf würzige Holznoten. Kommt insgesamt gesehen sehr schön zur Geltung. Kein Ausbund an Komplexität oder Finesse, aber für meinen Geschmack sehr schön zu trinken.
