#5650 07.09.2025 Running a few samples at home with some good music in the background. This is a pretty nice release, would have loved a bit more power in the profile though. Fruity with well balanced ABV and wood. Light glue, ester and a nice marzipan nogle on top of the ester. A medium intense rum in my mind with a slight oily palate. German Rum Fest 2025 sample.

30-08-2025 - Rate 7.5 German Rum Festival Was very found of Colours of Rum’s 2024 festival release. And of cause we had to try the 2025 edition as well. Young and full of power. Nose has hints of glue, ester, wood and tropical fruit. Palate has the same notes. Glue ester, nail polish, wood and tropical fruit. Medium finish dominated by ester and nail polish.

Whisky Fair Rhein-Ruhr Düsseldorf April 2026. Took it as a sample. This one is definitely heading in the right direction again. Much better integrated alcohol, and the (overripe) tropical fruits are much more present too.
