The surprise here isn't the flavor but how much wood 18 years and a bourbon barrel pack in. It reads pure Foursquare — coconut, vanilla, toffee — but the cask pushes tobacco, cinnamon and polished oak forward too. One taster even mistook the aged profile for Jamaica. At 59.5% the heat shows, and a few call it a touch one-dimensional once you settle in.

Edit: die letzten Tropfen, wie man mich hier kennt, in der Cola versenkt. Hier wird das ganze dann sehr süß und Kokoslastig. Für mich eher kein Mixer. Insgesamt nach der zweiten Verkostung ein wenig eindimensional Alles in allem ein solider Foursquare, auch hier merkt man das Richard einfach sein hohes Niveau hält. Gute Fass Wahl WuDramClan. Der einzige Kritikpunkt ist, dass er leider durch die Bourbon Finishes nicht heraus sticht aus dem soliden vielfältigen Foursquare Universum, was aber nicht heißt das er langweilig ist.

#5667 14.09.2025 Tasting in Copenhagen with good friends. Nose Round, balanced, light acetone, fruity, light caramel, light nutmeg, light coconut, faint glue. Palate Oily, warm, round, fresh, fruity, banana, faint acetone, light coconut, light chocolate, nutmeg, wood, light roasted. Finish Long and warm, wood, light roasted, oily, light pineapple, light caramel.

8,5:On the nose, toasted wood with toffee, pastry, spicy with cinnamon, toasted coconut, dried apricots, peaches, so bourbon barrel impact is strong, polish and tobacco, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, the molasses is vegetal with tea, slightly flowery and musty, dirty notes are out, some glue, roasted nuts, vanilla and citrus fruits. 8,8:On the palate, the attack is soft, balanced, inspite of high ABV, creamy with toasted wood notes like butterscotch, pastry, toffee, caramelized, spicy with cinnamon, vanilla, fruity with toasted coconut, yellow fruits, dried apricots and citrus fruits, medicinal with glue and polish. When the rum is well oxidized, cream and custard might be recognized. 8,6:The finish is long, dry, with roasted oak notes pairing yellow and dried fruits, coconut, banana and citrus fruits, earthy molasses, musty and polish. Heute das Sample von Zabo erhalten und gleich verkostet: Eindeutige Forsquare-Nase mit den typischen Aromen: Kokusnuss, Vanille, Toffee und Gebäck. An Gaumen setzt sich das fort. Alkohol ordentlich eingebunden. Sehr solide ohne Überraschung

Leckerer grundsolider Foursquare mit allen typischen Markern die man aus 2007 erwartet. Alkohol könnte minimal besser integriert sein, aber das liegt vermutlich am kontinentalen aging. Lecker aber jetzt keine Welt-Neuheit in Sachen 2007er FS.

Verdict: Deep, complex, rounded, but also slightly spicy and woody. Wood, wax, tobacco and earth, cinnamon, orange and yellow fruit. 88 points Nose: a little glue, but mainly woody, spicy and a little fruity. Polished furniture, car wax wood, cinnamon, vanilla, stewed apricot, peach on syrup, tobacco leaf, earth, pine resin, oil. Palate: Rounded, spicy, vanilla and tobacco, stewed fruits, honey, syrup, polished oak, engine oil, orange juice, cinnamon. Lovely. Finish: long, rounded and returning, spicy, sweet, sour. Quite oaky, cinnamon buns, wax, furniture polish, oil, barrel, ginger, tobacco and yellow fruit.

Oh ja, der gefällt mir wirklich gut, ein super Foursquare, kann man nicht mehr zu sagen. Alkohol futberkennbar, aber trotzdem gut eingebunden. Ansonsten sehr guter Fizrsquare, gut Kokosnuss, aber auch Vanille und Karamell.

Schnelle Vorab-Verkostung mit Frau und Herr Zabo auf der Terrasse. Die Nase ruft schon von weitem „ich bin ein Foursquare!“. Viel Kokosnuss und Bourbon an der Nase und am Gaumen. Angenehm süß, mit richtigem Maß an Holz und gut eingebundenen Alkohol. Insgesamt aber irgendwie eindimensional.

Ersteindruck: Tolle Nase mit den üblichen FS Markern von Kokos, Vanille, etwas Holz und Gewürzen. Am Gaumen auch unverdünnt gut trinkbar und sehr lecker. Mit etwas Wasser noch süffiger. Eine schöne Abfüllung! Ich bin ja der Meinung, die reine Reifung im Bourbonfass steht Foursquare am besten. Gleichzeitig kommt dieser WDC für mich nicht ganz an Nobiliary und Isonomy heran, bei höherem Preis.

Ich habe mir gar nichts von dem FS erwartet und wurde positiv überrascht! Typisches FS-Profil, jedoch mit viel tropischen Anklängen und einer schönen Ausgewogenheit. Klar hat er kein Alleinstellungsmerkmal, aber insgesamt ein sehr guter Foursquare!

Wu Dram does not disappoint. Very nice Barbados rum that almost screams "Foursquare". Vanilla, coconut and caramel, plus a certain alcoholic spiciness that is somehow also part of the Foursquare profile.

Fits, solid Foursquare, with the boozy markers, here the bourbon finish stands out, giving it a bit more edge and edge. ABV could be a tad better integrated, but doesn't detract from it. I like the finish and the cask. A not-so-typical round Foursquare, despite the coconut note and the tannins.

Eine gute Rum, in nasse ist voll rund nach trockenen Früchte, Kokosnuss, Vanille, Holzig und süß aber nur in nasse. Am Gaumen ist sehr stark, kaum süß sber genug Holzig, Kokosnuss, Klebstoff- Lösungsmittel, ich weiß nicht ob habe heute komische tag aber ich finde ihn scharf, Alkohol ist deutlich, scharfe kanten vielleicht brauche mehr Zeit in Glas. In Abgang ist schön warm und lang nach Kokosnuss. Jedenfalls ist dass schöne Rum .

Ein schöner alter gelagerter Foursquare. Ich mag tatsächlich die Bourbon Foursquare Abfüllungen lieber, da die beiden Welten einfach grundsätzlich gut passen. Hier ist schon ordentlich Fasseinfluss. Aber ich mag es. Insgesamt bin ich nicht der größte Fan vom Kokosnuss, Vanille Profil. Daher auch viel gemixt mit Cola. Das geht auch sehr gut. Daher voll zufrieden.
