The nose leads with dried fruit, caramel, roasted wood and leather, then the palate turns toward mango, banana and dark chocolate. A single-cask 2007 aged 16 years, lower on ester than most expect. At 66.5% the alcohol still sits remarkably well integrated.

As expected, a top-class rum. On the nose, besides wood, caramel, and spices, primarily dried fruits, which mix on the palate with various tropical fruits to create a crazy combination. In the finish, almost only the tropical fruits remain. Really an awesome twist with this rum! The alcohol is excellently integrated.

9:On the nose, intense, complex, fruity with tropical fruits like mango, coconut, dried fruits like currants, apricots, raisins, citrus fruits, roasted wood, leather, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, medicinal notes like glue, polish are out, warm spices, nuts, pastry, cookie dough, caramel, some hints of banana and candied fruits arise. 9:On the palate, the attack is slightly medicinal with menthol, creamy, brown with roasted wood notes like caramel, cocoa, crème brûlée, barrel impact is obvious, dark chocolate and hints of cappuccino, spicy with allspice, vanilla, fruity with various dried fruits and mango, banana. 8,9:The finish is long, dry&tannic, with roasted wood notes, spicy, intermingled with dried, tropical, citrus fruits and medicinal touch..l

Und weiter geht's, Nr. 5/7 für heute. Aber ein richtig starker geiler Long Pond. Getrocknete und kodiert Früchte in derbNase, sowie reichlich Karamell. Am Gaumen leichte, entspannten Süße, viel Karamell, aber auch etwas dunkle Schokolade.

#6772 09.05.2026 A small online tasting with my friend while talking about which Rum Events to participate in 2027. This is a really nice rum with a pretty decent price tag. Fruity with nicely balanced roasted wood, leather and a light salty note.

A long-aged 2007 Long Pond… which I quite like… it leans more towards the spicy woody side with subtle dried fruits. And on the palate, it’s quite intense. The alcohol is very well integrated and the finish is relatively long.

Wow was für einer schöner Long Pond mal wieder, auch wenn es schon spät in der Nacht war, ist dieser doch in Erinnerung geblieben. Alles was man sich erwartet und sogar noch ein bißchen mehr. Klare Empfehlung von mir.

Good, but not outstanding Long Pond. Tasted together with the somewhat underrated Barikenn. For me, both are on a par in the end, with the Barikenn being a little rounder and more balanced and the Distilia a little more intense, with a licorice note that is a little too present for me. Overall, however, still very good.

Für einen 2007er Long Pond vermutlich ein niedrigeres Ester Mark. Insgesamt eher leicht "spanisch" anmutend von der Aromatik her aber durchaus lecker. Insgesamt aber nicht ganz das was ich mir erwartet hatte.

We did a tasting longpond 40 , floral 16 distillia and the LP bar , and the enmore 31 greenhaert was stil in another glas , from the finest enmore to the thickest 16y longpond , how good can 2 completely rums be , the LP is a granate in your tasting sence , but boy what doni like this one , the bar is to sharp and to flat , but this one nailed it ,
