Distilia T.D.L Floral Rum Series Pimenta Racemosa (Catawiki) 2005
One taster called the mint here the most intense they'd ever had in a glass, and that's the headline: this 19-year TDL from Trinidad leans hard on menthol and fresh herbs, backed by damp oak, peach iced tea, caramel and juicy yellow fruit. At 64.5% the heat is real but well-tucked. Several people found it round and gourmand; a couple felt the column character left it a touch flat.

Alkohol perfekt eingebunden!

Next up is a great T.D.L. Of course, lots of mint, but you can also recognize many herbs here. It's very fresh and floral, with some woodiness also noticeable. But a really nice T.D.L. :)

Angenehm runder TDL. Alkohol gut eingebunden.

Well, by now I'm a bit oversaturated with T.D.Ls. but I have to say that it's still well done, but unfortunately not outstanding. Thanks Skyfly for the split. Nice that I was allowed to try it.

Expressive profile with heavy caramel sweetness, lots of fruit aromas from both citrus-fresh and fully ripe fruit, as well as a noticeable spiciness with a peppery kick. A beautiful and balanced profile that impresses with its complexity.

Reminds me somehow of the Schotman 2006 TDL. Kind of a mix between Foursquare and TDL, a bit flat, alcohol integrated okay, but with clearly too much column still.
Review by Jacques etdom
Longue finale.
