Cadenhead‘s Classic Rum 2008
"Nicht drin was drauf steht" — the label says Barbados, but nearly everyone here tastes Guyana, likely Enmore or Diamond. Expect ristretto coffee, bitter chocolate, oak, dried banana, dates and licorice, with a light sweetness and an oily body. Roasted, spicy and leathery, with a faint smoke that builds. At 50% the alcohol sits well in the glass.

How does Cadenhead‘s Classic Rum 2008 taste?
Aggregated from 20 community reviews.
Roasted, chocolatey Guyana-style sipper (label says Barbados) Loved by most despite the mislabeling — a woody, roasted, chocolate-and-dried-fruit dram that reads far more like Guyana than Barbados. One taster ordered two more bottles.

Not Barbados 🇧🇧, but yes Guyana 🇬🇾. On the nose is like a "Enmore/KFM/REV" blend. On the taste, coffee ristretto 😋, bitter chocolat, wood, dried bananas & date & licorice. If you like the Diamond 2008 Rum Club, you will enjoy this Cadenheads 🤩

Tasted at Rum Depot and GRF 2025 As other have pointed out, the label mentioned carribean, but the consensus is that it is a run from Guyana. Apparently, this happened more often with Cadenhead. The rum tastes like a typical rum from Guyana, to me, specifically Enmore. Caramel (burnt) has the upper hand. A very pleasant rum. The second time, the rum still held up very well against other samples I tried during the festival.

Nicht drin was drauf steht. Sicher kein Barbados.
