Don Papa Alon
Opinions here run hot and cold. This is a coconut-forward, sweet flavored spirit drink — think toasted coconut, pineapple and caramel with a chili edge. Some taste piña colada in a glass and a Malaga-ice sweetness they enjoy; plenty of others call the coconut artificial and overpowering, and one tasted compost and burn. It reads more infused liqueur than traditional rum.

After almost 3 years of waiting, I was very excited about the new Don Papa. Unfortunately, it falls short of my expectations. A very dominant coconut aroma on the nose. On the palate, too, every other aroma is overshadowed by the coconut note. With a little imagination, caramel and toffee could be hinted at. The finish is relatively sharp for this sugar bomb. One of Don Papa's worse ones.

Verkostet auf der The Village Messe 2026. Nicht freiwillig Verkostet möchte ich anmerken ;-) Sorry DonPapa aber das war nix. Es riecht primär nach Alkohol und Komposthaufen. Im Hintergrund irgendwo etwas Kokosnuss. Im Mund auch erdig, beißend. Uaahhh! Was wae das und wer hat das so freigegeben? Ich wüsste niemand, dem das schmecken würde.
