Savanna Unshared Cask (Denmark) 2009
One taster dares you to blind-guess Savanna here — the cognac cask runs the show. Expect dark, woody, almost dirty aromas: old cognac, sawdust, walnut, dried fruit and a menthol-eucalyptus lift, with the usual tropical Savanna fruit pushed to the back. The palate turns spicy and peppery, roasted and very dry, with bitter chocolate on the finish. At 59% most find the alcohol well tucked in.

Delicious Savanna... Still very reserved and closed on the nose. On the palate deliciously slightly fruity paired with bitterness and wood notes almost in the direction of dark chocolate. Very dry finish.

Gelungene Auswahl.

Review by Michal Jurka
Right after the pour it is very fresh and floral but quickly turns into sweeter, more confectionery style - pastries, caramel, vanilla, nuts, pralines, hints of coconut. The taste however is quite different, bit spicy, even peperry, roasted and woody.

Velmi pěkná Savanna, hodně sušeného ovoce, karamelu, ořechů a koření.
