It's been over a year since I was allowed to taste this set. It's an interesting experiment where you can really recognize slight differences, but the difference isn't too big either.

Von fruchtig, würzig, holzig, rauchig und kräftig bis elegant und trocken ist hier für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Ein definitiv höchst spannendes und einzigartiges Tasting Set was es in der Form wohl kaum nochmal geben wird. Für jeden Spirituosen Enthusiasten der sich in flüssiger Form fortbilden möchte sehr zu empfehlen! Man sollte natürlich keine ultra krassen super leckeren Rums erwarten, hier geht's wirklich nur um den Holzeinfluss. Ich bin sehr zufrieden dieses Set ausprobiert zu haben!

A great opportunity, not offten, to try various types of different wood notes and its nuances and typical marks of them.I have tasted 1 cl of each, as the base rum is 3y TDL, so I have a possibility to retaste it and learn to decipher each one of them.Thx to RumX for nice marketing and top price.

A great set with 16 different barrel maturations. It is not possible to say in the evaluation which aromas are present, as each wood gives off different aromas. If you want to get to grips with the subject of cask maturation, this is the right set for you. A nobrainer at the current sale price of 49.99 €. There is also a QR code for tasting with lots of information about this project.

Die beschreibung ist etwas schwierig bei 16 verschiedenen proben jede spricht für sich ob schöne Holz Noten oder fruchtige Noten hervorgehen. Ich finde es eine spannende sache so richtig mal zu erleben welchen einfluss das Fass auf den Rum hat. Für mich das beste Tastingset im Nerd bereich 😁 Nach nochmaligen tasting ca. 1 jahr später habe ich doch deutliche Qualitäts schwankungen geschmeckt Deshalb musste ich ein paar Punkte abziehen nicht jeder rum ist auch wirklich lecker und die wenigsten braucht man wirklich Dennoch geiles tastingset.

This tasting set is a fun and interesting experience. It delivers on the expectations. The base rum is nice and most of the rums have a subtle but distinctive deviation in flavour profile from the base. My main takeaway is that the variants of oak tended to be better on the whole. The most interesting discovery for me was that the French Oak imparts what I thought was a wine type flavour. It might be that actually when I’ve had some rums finished in ex-wine casks before (which were French oak) it might be that the wood was doing more to impact the flavour of the rum, rather than any remnants of wine.

Zajímavý projekt...některé vzorky chutnají lépe, jiné hůře a některé mi nechutnali vůbec. Ale celkově je to strašně zajímavé.
