Corman Collins CRHUM Verytresbon Blend (CRHUM x Le Blog à Roger) 2025
Opinions land mostly warm but measured: a Jamaican blend (Worthy Park lead, with Hampden and New Yarmouth in the mix) that plays it well-mannered. Expect overripe pineapple, banana, glue and light young wood, with a spicy, slightly bitter tail. Several call it an easy summer sipper; a few wish the esters and power came through harder. One taster nicely pegged it as "a very nice bottling with a fruity profile."

Easy, fruity Jamaican blend, gently funky Most people like it as a relaxed, fruity Jamaican sipper. The recurring catch: the alcohol isn't fully knit in and some wanted more ester punch and body for the components listed.

8,3:On the nose, esters, funky, slightly alcoholic, fermented, overripe tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, red, citrus fruits, molasses with briny olive, roasted wood notes like caramel, a bit sweet, bump into our nosetrils. On aeration, candied fruits, apricots are out, nail polish, rubber, some vinegar, hay, roasted nuts, custard, allspice and vanilla. 8,2:On the palate, the attack is medicinal with esters, dry, fruity with fermented tropical fruits like banana and pineapple, yellow, red and citrus fruits, marmelade like, vegetal with briny olive, flowery, grassy, sweet with honeycomb, as the wood is roasted with cappuccino, caramel, spicy with vanilla, allspice, smoky. 8,2:The finish is medium long, dry&tannic, with notes from palate lingering on. I've now had it both neat and as a mixer in the CubaLibre. Unfortunately, it couldn't really convince me with either. It could best be compared with a Great House from Hampden, but it would also lose this comparison. A solid bottling, but unfortunately nothing more. I didn't taste the New Yarmouth component at all. The low ABV makes it seem a little diluted.

I'd been wanting to try this blend for some time. Reading its composition, I'm even impressed by the age of some of them, but their share remains reasonable. The result is not at all disappointing, offering a coherent blend of tropical and yellow fruits.

I was hoping to get the chance to taste this rum and I'm really glad I did. A very soft, fruity nose. Rather young wood. Esters without excess. It’s looking good. First impression confirmed with a rum that at first seemed quite crowd-pleasing, a nice blend with a dominant Worthy Park and maybe some Long Pond for acidity. Giving it time, the rum actually has a lot more to say. The wood is there, nicely integrated. The fruits are ripe but not too much. Controlled esters. It’s extremely well done. A touch of cappuccino on the finish. A light acidity. All at an ideal ABV for me. Kudos to Quentin Belien and Roger Caroni for this superb selection.

After the long delivery time, I decanted the bottle straight away. On the nose, the WP and the NY 94 (cake), also a little sour cream from the HD. Nice balance on the palate between fruit, spice and latte. Very drinkable this thing!

A good blend, even if it is difficult to taste the different components. Very present ester and pineapple aromas, plus light wood notes on the nose and palate. A certain spiciness is added on the palate, which lingers long into the finish. Personally, I feel that the alcohol is not perfectly integrated.

Nose: yellow fruits, peach, apricots, fruity-sweet, could be a Clarendon Palate: not Jamaica but Guyana, Port Mourant, I would say now. Elegant, creamy but dry mouthfeel and quite a lot of sweetness could fit. Alcohol approx. 55% Very good, elegant rum, quite intense, a few deductions due to the bitterness. Resolution: Jamaica after all! Hmm a blend, which is of course difficult to recognize

#6700 25.04.2026 Running a few samples after getting back from bottling the 1992 MEC by Nobilis. Listening to some nice tracks by Zephirus Kane, Linka, Ben Gold and Maarten de Jong. A very nice bottling with a fruity profile mixed with glue, caramel and light smoke.

Pretty funky and unfortunately not quite as strong. Easy sipper for the summer, I would say. Very fruity with a slight ester. All in all a bit thin. Many thanks to Martin for the sample and especially for the nice contact.

Phew... Smells like ayran or buttermilk. Somehow relatively unbalanced, primarily sour, woody and bitter. Unfortunately, I rather like it semi. Difficult to describe, but this blend just doesn't work for me.

A very nice Jamaican blend with great drinkability! In my opinion, beautiful tropical fruits, esters present but not overpowering, a nice chocolate, spicy, coffee profile on the finish that lasts long, with a certain sweetness. Very cool.

The nose is very intense. The overripe pineapple spreads throughout the entire kitchen as soon as it is bottled. Intense estery notes and plenty of power on the palate. Long lasting finish. A strong drop, but for me not in the top league. There is too much ester at the start for me, which drowns out too much.

Rather relaxed sipper, good selection of casks that work well together. But it's nothing more than a cozy sipper. I would have liked more esters but in the end it is what it is. Cheers
