Mostly one for curiosity hunters — a Mexican rum that turns up in blind tastings more than on shelves. It's thin and light on the palate, with vanilla, soft wood and a milk-chocolate note that shows up briefly and leaves fast. At 38% there's not much body to hold it together, and the finish is short to almost gone. A country-tick more than a keeper.

Zu allererst einmal ein DICKES DANKESCHÖN an TheDunderHut, wieder bei dem Wird&Blind Set dabei gewesen zu sein. Zusammen mit DomM wurde sich dieser Aufgabe gestellt. Leider kein Einhorn dabei gewesen, aber tolle rare Sachen probiert, an die man sonst nicht so gut rankommt. Einzig die Geschichten zu jeden einzelnen Rum des Spliters dazu habe ich wirklich vermisst zu.

Arturs weird and blind tasting Nummer 2. Etwas Vanille und eine leichte Holznote. Auch hier recht dünn. Abgang ist nicht existent. Bislang das schwächste Sample, aber wann bekommt man mal solche Exoten ins Glas.

Ich mag ja Blind Tastings und freue mich neue Sachen kennen zu lernen, Rum aus Mexiko hat man auch nicht so oft im Glas! Aber wenn das die Referenz ist, wird es auch erstmal dabei bleiben - aber spannend mal was anderes probiert zu, gibt einen Länderpunkt und danke fürs Organisieren!

Weird and Blind tasting #2 In the nose notes of sweetness and chocolate. In the mouth it is extremely soft. notes of milk chocolate and vanilla come up briefly in the mouth. the aftertaste is also short to almost non-existent.
