Ron Zacapa Centenario 23 Años
People new to rum, or anyone with a sweet tooth, tend to fall for this one first. It's soft, oily and openly sweet, with vanilla, toffee, chocolate and a little orange and dried fruit. One taster calls it "easy sipping" with a rounded finish. Fans of pure, dry rum grow out of it — several describe their rating drifting down as their palate shifts.

I love this Ron Zacapa. This is the true Zacapa without the addition Solera system. No comparison to the rum marketed today by Diagio.

This was the start of my adult rum journey and many bottles has passed by, but the rating has going down, down, down. It’s much too sweet for me as I have been growing into pure rum. It’s sweet, fruity and round with scents and flavors of vanilla, toffee and chocolate.

Quite spicy with a long finish

Very similar to other Zacapas. Fruity and pretty sweet with a characteristic spiciness and a wooden accent.

sehr schöner Rum

This bottlekill also dates back to my early days. Unfortunately, my tastes have changed a little. But I certainly don't regret drinking it back then. I can still recommend it as a good starter rum. There's hardly anyone who hasn't had it in their glass as an inexperienced rum drinker.
