CDI DDL Guyana 2013
One taster nailed it: dark chocolate, roasted nuts and a "toasted wood" edge, with dried fruit and caramel underneath. This is a classic Port Mourant Demerara — full-bodied, smoky, a touch buttery, with a long dry finish. At 63.1% the alcohol is present but folds in well. People who spent time with it comparing bottles found it a bit less exciting than some other CDI Port Mourants, but still a good pour.

Smoky, chocolatey cask-strength Demerara sipper Well-liked Demerara: chocolate, roasted nuts, smoke and dried fruit, with warm heat that stays integrated. A few tasters preferred other Port Mourant bottlings, but nobody knocks this one.
