Iodine and smoke lead, then peach, orange peel, butterscotch and overripe yellow fruit, with saffron and green pepper on the vegetal side. Several members call it one of the better arracks they've tried; a few find the finish turns soapy and dirty.

So muss Batavia Arrack schmecken. Grüne Paprika, Safran, Rosenblüten, Orangenblüten, gebrannter Zucker, überreife Papaya, Mandarinenschale und Bitterorange, Weihrauch und ein generell sehr angenehmes sehr intensives, komplexes und öliges Mundprofil!

Arra(c)k 2.0 tasting by Artur. A rum nose at last! Lively, lemony, with a hint of sweetness (cookies) and candy. Varnished wood. The entry is intense with yellow fruit, apple, lemon zest, overripe fruit, saffron and iodine. The finish is moderately long, with woody bitterness. The saffron and spices are more pronounced. At last, a rum-like arrack.

Arrac(k)-Tasting 2.0 von Artur. Eine spannende Tasting-Reise mit einer beeindruckenden Bandbreite an Stilen und Profilen. Von rauchig über fruchtig bis würzig war alles vertreten – teils etwas unausgewogen, teils überraschend rund. Besonders einige Abfüllungen zeigten viel Charakter und Tiefe und blieben im Gedächtnis. Ein Format, das richtig Spaß macht. Danke Artur für die Gelegenheit! 😊

Jod, Pfirsich, gelbe Frucht, dreckig. Gefällt! Arra(c)k Attack 2.0 Tasting mit Artur einmal quer durch, von richtig fiesem Verschnitt bis zu erstaunlich guten Vertretern alles dabei. Tolle Reise zu dieser mir bis dato komplett unbekannten Spirituose.

Wieder einmal ein überragendes Tasting das Artur super organisiert hat. Vielen Dank in die Einführung in die Welt des Arra(c)ks. Die Verschnitte sind schon eine wahre Herausforderung an die Geschmacksnerven. Wirklich überrascht hat mich aber diese BASF Abfüllung. Meinen tiefsten Respekt für die Zeit und Mühe die dort immer wieder reingesteckt wird. Eine wirkliche Ehre immer wieder bei solchen Tastings dabei sein zu dürfen.
