It's a young Monymusk: glue and ester up front, banana and pineapple, then dark chocolate, roasted nuts and dry oak. At 64.7% it runs sharp and a touch edgy, with a dry, tannic finish.

Nase und Gaumen: lecker und sehr lecker.

Dunkle Schokolade trifft auf milden Kaffee im ex-Bourbon Fass, mit einer würzig fruchtigen Nase. Im Geschmack kommen entspannte Ester- und leicht Holznoten dazu. Im Abgang hellt die Schokolade etwas auf und Fassnoten bleiben präsent. Da der Alkohol sehr gut eingebunden ist ein Rum der auch gut in ein Rum und Schokolade Tasting passen dürfte.

A little strong and alcoholic at first, but now that the bottle has been open for a good week it is pleasant to drink. The profile is fruity with power, and the NY barrel comes through slightly in the finish. I think it's a successful bottling. Tasting as Cuba is still pending.

A bottling that I can't figure out right now. I tried it for the first time at the Village'25 in Nuremberg and was so impressed that I immediately took a bottle with me. I finished it the same evening as a nightcap, but it was far too alcoholic for me. Now I've tried it again a few days later and I'm thrilled again. Tried it as a mixer with cola and now I'm so taken with it that I'm thinking of stocking up for the price.

So now I'm finally getting to the MM from RumClub! A very spicy affair! Very spicy on the nose, which continues right through to the end and leaves a furry taste on the tongue in the finish. Otherwise there is a lot of fruit, ester chocolate and also some woody notes.

Wood, spices and fruit are very present in varying degrees from nose to finish. The sweetness is provided by caramel on the nose, which develops into cookie dough on the palate. The palate is very complex. Ester is the only thing you notice here, as well as the influence of the bourbon cask. The finish has a pleasant taste of dried fruit. The alcohol is sharp, but still okay. PLV is excellent in my opinion!

Another successful young Jamaica bottling from the rum club. The glue note is very dominant here, very cool! Some fruit and esters, reminiscent of a good Blantons SFTB in the finish. A little spicy on the finish. The sticky note is great!

Die Jugend dieses Rums offenbart sich in einem nicht unangenehmen, aber zum Teil doch ein bisschen anstrengenden Mundgefühl. Tropische Früchte treffen dort auf junges Holz mit leichter Klebstoffausdünstung und pikante Gewürze, bevor es in einem toastig-schokoladigen Abgang mündet. Lecker, aber durchaus auch kantig!

Ein anspruchsvoller, komplexer Rum, kein easy sipper. Insgesamt ein schön runder monymusk mit leichter Bitterkeit, etwas Nuss, Marzipan, leichte Fruchtigkeit. Gefällt mir sehr gut! Zu Schokolade sicher genial!

Pub Alte Post Witten February 2025. Now probably the newest rum club, a Moneymusk. It's okay, but there are better ones. The nose is predominantly fruity and intense. On the palate it is strong and intense, we have fruit and bourbon here.

Phew, somehow it doesn't really pick me up at the moment, the youth still comes through too much for me. On the nose, I have a rather alcoholic note that reminds me of a cleaning agent. On the palate it's a little more pleasing (especially with a little water), but still quite impetuous, young, without much depth, and the finish is also relatively short. Sorry, it's not for me.
