First I must say that I’m rating the “Ultra Anejo” which is also the one pictured, the “Anejo” is another bottle. Tasted this rum in the VIP room at the Rhum Fest Paris 2026. Didn’t really understand why it was there. Guess they needed to have some Spanish styled rum there. It’s a collaboration between Industrias Bravo in partnership with Central de Licores Unidos de Venezuela C.A. (Celiveca), bearing the D.O.C. (Denomination of Controlled Origin) seal. The brand was registered in the 1980’s, but they started aging rum in 2006 at first. This one is a blend of rums 6 to 12 years old. Aroma and palate was more or less as expected, sweet, woody and fruity, but more complex and dry than expected. The finish is medium long. So overall a quite nice Spanish styled rum a little bit better than expected.
