Manutea Tahiti Rhum Extra Vieux X.O.
"Elegant" is the word one taster reached for, and it fits: this Tahitian cane-juice rum stays light and fresh, with sugar cane, white grape and a citrusy lift, plus soft caramel, vanilla and young wood. A few pick up ginger, chocolate and dried fruit. Pleasant and drinkable, though several agree the nose promises a bit more than the palate gives back.

Rhum très agréable! Je le classerais comme un rhum élégant. Rien ne deborde de trop de trop , mais ce n est pas plat. Il y a beaucoup de gourmandise tout au long de la dégustation. Nez autour du fruit confit. Bouche ,autour du caramel Finale, cane à sucre/coco/fût.

Le rhum Manutea XO présente dès le nez, dès notes boisées et sucrées. En bouche on retrouve les notes sucrées et boisées, ainsi que des touches poivrées qui donnent du caractère à ce rhum. La finale plutôt longue offre des notes de bois coupé vert et de caramel.

#6715 28.04.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after my long walk and picking up my wife from work. Listening to A State of Trance on Spotify. A pretty decent bottling in my mind. Nice and intense profile with nice light roasted wood, ginger, chocolate, dried fruit and a hint of smoke.

Interesting rum and after some arrange dégustations of Manutea which were quite bad. This one has a rather nice nose and is quite drinkable though not memorable. Nice for a Tahiti bottle as disgestive

This is my third Manutea rum and I am pleasantly surprised once again. It is overall very light and fresh with sugar cane and citrusy notes. Banyuls wood develops light wine notes. Spices, bit of vanilla, fruits (white grapes), bit of liqurice and young wood appear also.
