Most tasters land in the same place: a rounder, more harmonious Hampden than usual, with the alcohol tucked in well despite the 64.7%. Expect pineapple, passion fruit and banana over ester, nail polish and cookie-dough sweetness, turning dry and a touch bitter on the finish. A few felt it stayed unusually soft and sweet for the mark, and the nose slightly outshines the palate.

Wow, richtig geiler Hampden hier von Swell. Richtig schöner Ester Rum. Außerdem haben wir die bekannten Merkmale wie tropische Früchte, hier Maracuja und Ananas in Nase und Gaumen. Am Gaumen außerdem leicht metallisch.

Eine kleine Fruchtbombe platzt in meinem Mund. Ein beeindruckender Hampden. Das tollste ist diese schöne Passionsfruchtnote im Abgang neben dem intensiven Geschmack von Banane und Ananas. Ab jetzt auf meiner Wunschliste ganz oben.

So finally the Swell&Co RoA in a glass. This blend from Mika consists of the RX22697, RX22312 and the RX22557. All the classic markers are present, I just think the NY is a bit underplayed here. All in all, however, very harmonious. I like it a lot.

⚡ Cuvée avec Alain & Salva – High esters, high vibes Un blend taillé pour les esters junkies. 🎢 Ça démarre en trombe, ça ne s’arrête jamais : fruits exotiques mûrs, cire, colle… Une vraie tornade aromatique qui vient te chercher et ne te lâche plus. Attention, celui-là secoue ! Un de mes meilleurs blend jusqu’à présent.

Typische Hampden Noten: gelbe und tropische Früchte, gegrillte Ananas. Schöne Ester. Der Rum wirkt in sich sehr harmonisch, was doch auch mit Blick auf das vergleichsweise junge Alter überrascht. Alkohol ist gut eingebunden. Nase ist eine Idee besser als der Geschmack. Schöne Cremigkeit.

Anfangs relativ viel holz mit angeflammte Ananas und süßen klebstoff noten. Am gaumen dann recht fruchtig mit noch mehr süße, honig und leichten Estern. Im Abgang verliert sich dann der jamaica funk ein wenig und es bleibt ein schwacher abgang mit etwas zuviel Alkoholgehalt. Aber durchweg ein solides Ding.

Rums of Arnachy... but it doesn't come across as archaic at all... On the nose the classic Hampden aromas in medium intensity. The same on the palate... it is quite balanced and not tiring. The alcohol could be a little better integrated. The fruit is almost imperceptible on the finish
