A1710 La Perle Brute 2017

People already deep into agricole are the ones who get this — a white rum with an odd, savory streak. Several tasters keep coming back to truffle and mushroom, over fresh sugarcane, pineapple and a light briny edge. It's oily and intense, and at 66% it needs respect. One member calls it "beefy agricole," which sums up the weird, meaty character better than any tasting wheel.

Relatively exhausting salty, bitter and compost-like and for me not convincing ... Has for me rather what of a muddy pineapple that has fallen into mud. Sorry.
