Habitation du Simon A1710 La Perle Brute 2017
Rum geeks who like their white agricole loud will find a lot to chew on here. It's an intense, cane-forward Martinique blanc with fresh sugarcane, pineapple and a big green vegetal streak — plus an unusual truffle-and-mushroom note several tasters flagged, and a faint salty edge. At 66% it's oily and warm, not a quiet sipper. One reviewer just called it a "beefy agricole."

How does Habitation du Simon A1710 La Perle Brute 2017 taste?
Aggregated from 25 community reviews.
Intense cane-driven agricole with a truffle twist Most find it an intense, characterful white agricole with a striking truffle note. A few love it neat; one taster found it salty and bitter, "matschig" pineapple gone wrong.

Relatively exhausting salty, bitter and compost-like and for me not convincing ... Has for me rather what of a muddy pineapple that has fallen into mud. Sorry.

Goûté au rhum fest. Un étonnant nez de truffe !
Review by Niels LTAR
