Ich habe mir diesen Rum besorgt um zu schauen, ob ich das Crowd Funding für die 4000l Rum Destille unterstützen will. Das erste Invest sollte also die Flasche sein. Bei einer jungen Rum Brennerei war ich froh, ein ungesüßtes Produkt in Fassstärke zu bekommen. Mal schauen, was wir hier zu schmecken bekommen. In der Nase Melasse, dann Sprit. Ein wenig florales, recht undefinierbar. Etwas Flach. Im Geschmack ziemlich weich. Nicht so sprittig wie erwartet. Hinten raus entfalten sich schöne Aromen, Holzig, warm. Angenehme Süße. Etwas nussig. Im zweiten Versuch alles etwas intensiver. Dann ein angenehmer, unerwartet langer Abgang mit Karamell und Holz. Tja, was soll man sagen. It‘s a long way to go. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn man hier versuchen würde, langfristig einen Spitzenrum herzustellen. Erste Nuancen sind definitiv erkennbar, im Vergleich zu anderen Europäischen Versuchen, „mal eben“ einen Rum herzustellen. Gesüßt würde der hier locker mit gängigen Spiced Rums mithalten, aber ich hoffe dass das nicht der Anspruch ist. Ich vergebe 6.9 Sterne und bin gespannt, was wir aus diesem Hause noch vorgesetzt bekommen.
