Aroma visualization from community tastings
3 badge mixology Kirk and Sweeney 12 Years
Opinions land all over the place here. Plenty of people find it an easy, sweet pour of vanilla, caramel and butterscotch with a little cinnamon spice, "very smooth" over ice or in cola. But others call it thin, short and even sharp on the nose, with one taster flagging "artificial baking flavors." A gentle, uncomplicated Dominican sipper that leans sweet and simple.

How does 3 badge mixology Kirk and Sweeney 12 Years taste?
Aggregated from 62 community reviews.
Sweet, smooth vanilla-toffee everyday sipper Divides drinkers: some love the smooth vanilla-toffee sweetness neat or mixed, others find it flat, short-finishing and a touch artificial. Best as an easy everyday bottle, not one to analyze.

Another nice tasting finished, this time with rums from the Domenican Republic. This one was better than the 18 year old version. Vanilla and butterscotch (to some extent) dominate this rum. A very gentle and uncomplex rum, but at the price tag pretty good.

Sehr süß, Vanille, Zimt, künstliche Backaromen.

On The Rocks: On the nose reveals moderate vanilla and caramel with oak and alcohol undertones. Taste has a moderate Vanilla and Caramel flavour with mild hints of spice and oak that is very smooth and well rounded. Finish is short with sweet vanilla and mild spice fading away quickly. This is a very delicious rum. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose has a sweet but mild Vanilla and Caramel. Taste is very smooth with mild vanilla and caramel. Overall this is an extremely consistent flavour profile that delivers the same both on the rocks and mixed. Could drink multiple of these mixed.

Not bad. Could be a little smoother but that's what the 23 year old is about.

A distinct aroma of vanilla and caramel candies. Sweet taste also with a hint of vanilla but still young and a little raw rum where the taste of brandy comes in
Review by Portman
A little too flat, dry and woody for the price.

Un rhum (trop) simple et direct, mais qui peut être une bonne porte d'entrée vers des jus + authentiques pour qui vient des rons hispaniques

Read full review →This doesn't even feel 40% ABV. Suspiciously easy to drink and knock back. The finish is pretty much non existent. To be honest even the mid palate is pretty short. When you sip this you get a lot of vanilla and toffee mixed with some slight spiciness but it all...
