Nez très frais sur ce Long Pond sur lequel les effluves de fruits dominent. Du zeste de citron vert d'abord et du fruit de la passion. Le bois est bien présent également. Bouche à l'avenant. On retrouve l'acidité du nez. On est typiquement sur un Long Pond jeune. L'alcool est vif (trop pour moi). Belle finale fruitée (purée de banane) et légèrement astringente. Quelques gouttes d'eau l'amènent selon moi à un degré qui le rend plus agréable. Il ne perd pas sa fougue mais l'alcool et est moins présent. Cette bouteille gagne avec l'oxydation. Plus rond, moins rentre-dedans. Jolie purée de fruits, texture grasse.

C’est pas mal fait mais on est loin des long pond exubérant de fruits et d’ester. La touche de piment et l’alcool manque d’intégration, c’est un peu fort en bouche !! Après une longue aération de 40 mins, la banane ressort clairement. Et les arômes sont plus présent et plus agréable à déguster

Un nez assez végétal, où on sent les esters, les épices et le zeste de citron vert. Un peu plus loin s’invitent quelques fruits tropicaux (banane, mangue) et une légère odeur de fraise tagada, de manière très discrète. En bouche, une amertume puissante sur les esters, les épices et le citron vert arrivent. Quelques fruits tropicaux reviennent mais surtout une impression de déguster un whisky bien sec. Ça manque un peu d’équilibre et ça chauffe fort, un piment en finale arrive mais elle retombe assez vite. Une bouteille sympa sans être exceptionnelle, que l’on a attendue longtemps pendant son vieillissement sur la Barge 166 de Plantation. Elle manque probablement de caractère car elle n’a finalement que 7 ans de vieillissement continental. À noter : mérite probablement un peu d’aération, notation à revoir dans quelques semaines / mois !
