Fresh sugarcane, lemon and lime zest, and a green, vegetal streak run right through this white Bielle. A few tasters get earthy, salty, iodine notes too, and one calls it close to a "ready-to-drink ti-punch." At 59.9% the heat is there but well folded in — most say the alcohol barely bites. Classic Marie Galante agricole, clean and grassy.

Lille - Swell Masterclass - notes : Pas grand chose à dire, j’adore Bielle, j’avais déjà investi dans 2 bouteilles d’une précédente cuvée « On Tour » de la même distillerie, que j’apprécie particulièrement. Édit : présente au rhum fest, et médaille d’or ! Ici on retrouve une belle canne, la chaleur habituelle de cette distillerie, des agrumes, du citron, pour un jus riche, proche d’un ti-punch – prêt à l’emploi – pas besoin d’y rajouter quoi que ce soit.

Let's open the next bottle right away :) Here we have a nice Agricole from Swell. Typical agricole notes, we have citrus fruits and sugar cane here. Of course also very herbal on the nose and palate.

Première dégustation (d'une longue série) sur le stand de Swell de Spirits lots du RhumFest Paris 2025. Un Bielle plutôt typique avec une canne omniprésente, un zeste de citron rafraîchissant, des agrumes, un côté très végétal. Réussi. Puissant et chaud. Notes iodées en fin de bouche.

This rum is as good as it gets: you're catapulted straight back to Martinique as if you were sipping a to-punch, even without adding anything! Really nice!

Complex nose when the bottle is opened, soup. Vegetable soup, leek limit remains present. Vegetal. Lime zest too. Warm, caressing mouthfeel. Vegetable soup still present. Perhaps artichoke? We're just opening the bottle, so taste again, in a while. Medium finish and warm use of La Canne À Sucre.

Nice Bielle Agricole, but I can't understand the description that it should taste like a finished TI Punch. The rhum has slight citrus notes, yes, but overall it is dominated by salt, licorice and earthy tones. The alcohol could also be better integrated. Nice but definitely not outstanding.
